SuperHiTech was founded in 2012 in Sheldon, IA, by co-owners Jon Hellinga and Wayne Barahona . Jon and Wayne had both worked in the consumer electronics and business IT industries in the past, and realized that although the need for a reputable, dedicated LOCAL full-service technology retailer was present, no company had stepped forward to take on that role in his area. Brand recognition for this industry had yet to be established.
Within two years
Things start to come together
Mid 2013, SuperHiTech added its first employee, and since
have they added almost a dozen more as Jon and Wayne’s roles shifted
towards business to business sales and support.
In late 2014, SuperHiTech added a second location in Orange
City, IA to meet the growing demands in the southern areas,
allowing them to reach more customers at a faster speed.
In early 2018, SuperHiTech expanded to its third location in Sioux Center. In the era of increased online sales and closing of big box retailers, the draw of having LOCAL technology experts prompted Hellinga and Barahona to add Sioux Center to its portfolio.
